Our cash and Carry is open to anybody who requires quantities of plants at genuine wholesale prices. We normally insist on a minimum spend per visit of £20. This is aimed at discouraging the (just browsing) visits from the general public who would be much happier visiting and taking tea at their local garden centre anyway. Our low prices reflect this fact also because our small staff just don’t have the time to answer a barrage of gardening questions. That’s how we are able to offer plants at the prices we do.
We are unable to accept Credit or debit cards at this time so please bring other methods of payment with you, cash preferably or cheques supported by your bank card.
We will be pleased to open a trade account for bona fide businesses. Please supply two trade referances & all bank details when applying. We prefer monthly accounts to be settled by bank transfer if possible. Accounts must be 30 days maximum otherwise Interest will be added.
The prices attached to all plants on the nursery will be discounted to bona fide trade customers on production of their Glenacres discount card. These discount cards will be given out on production of trade status.
Our Nursery opening hours are 8-00am to 5-00pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 8-00am to 4-00pm. We are closed sundays and Bank holidays. During the winter months we close at 4.30pm on weekdays.
We supply landscape gardeners, shops, small garden centres, farm shops, pubs, campsites, builders, new home owners, schools and colleges, indeed anybody who requires plants in quantity. We operate a Hanging Basket replanting service if you don’t want to do your own. We also offer help in planning planting schemes.
Deliveries of plants are possible to your site by arrangement and will be charged at cost.
NEW FROM SPRING 2008, DELAMORE PLUGS AND YOUNG PLANTS AT GLENACRES.
In association with DELAMORES we are now a collection point for their Plugs and young plants. All prices will be charged as per the Delamore catalogue. Orders will not attract the normal Delamore delivery charges provided they are ordered, collected and paid for at our nursery. Delamore early order discounts and any other special offers do not apply when ordered through ourselves. We receive deliveries most weeks through the busy spring & early summer period, these are usually on a tuesday . Please telephone to check your plants have arrived before coming to collect.
There will be no minimum amounts needed to make an order so if you require just one tray at the last minute please contact us. If you let us know by a friday its usually possible to add your requirements to our next weeks delivery.
Delamore catalogues are available from our nursery. Plug ejection plates are available to order only.
If you don’t see the plants you require on our lists please ask because most items can be sourced from nurseries around this country or abroad at quite short notice. We have for instance weekly deliveries throughout the season from several suppliers in Holland and have access to a huge range and variety of plants.
All our catalogue prices are plus Vat at the current rate of 17.5%. Fruit trees & bushes, Vegetable plants and edible herbs are zero rated for Vat.
